Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I am a Florida Firefighter.  Where do I go to find my Student ID Number?
A: You need to go to the Florida State Fire College website at www.floridastatefirecollege.org .  If you currently have created a profile on their system, then you need to log in using "ff social security number" as the user name and "password" for password for first time users.  If you have not created a profile, then you need to create a profile.  Your Student ID Number will be located under "My Profile".


Q: I am a Out-of-State Firefighter.  Do I still need a Student ID Number to register?
A: Yes.  The Florida State Fire College has asked all firefighters to create a profile with them.  Please go to their website at www.floridastatefirecollege.org and create a profile.  Your Student ID Number will be located under "My Profile". 


Q: I have Junior Firefighters.  What is the minimum age to attend the training?
A: The minimum age of 18 is required to attend the Farmedic, Live Burns, FF I Skills Task Book and EVOC. 


Q: I am a Junior Firefighter. What classes can I take?
A: You can attend any class except the hands-on classes. 


Q: I am a Alabama Firefighter. Will these training hours count?
A: We have contacted the Alabama State Fire College and they will recognize these hours towards the required 30 hours of annual training.


Q:  I am a Georgia Firefighter.  Will these training hours count?
A:  Yes.  The Georgia Standards and Training Council has approved and issued course numbers for our courses.
