The 5th Annual Northwest Florida Volunteer Firefighter Weekend will be  September 15-19, 2010.   Registration for all classes will begin on June 1,  2010.

Highlights

  • Wednesday
    Fire Service Course Delivery, 9/15 - 9/19
    Upon successful completion of this 40-hour course a Firefighter I, with six years of experience, will be able to test for Instructor I certification.  This will allow him/her to teach the Firefighter I class in-house.

    Tactics and Strategy I, 9/15 - 9/19

    The curriculum is designed to cover basic factors involved in coping with an emergency scene, and determining the best use of available resources in protecting lives and property.
  • Friday Afternoon
    Firefighter Competition, 9/17 at 1 pm
    Details will be posted on March 7th.

  • Friday Evening
    Demonstration Night, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
    Come and join us on Friday evening for some fun and demonstrations.  Your sponsors will be available to answer your questions and we will be have "hands-on" vehicle extrication demonstrations (6:30 pm - 8:30 pm).  Personal Protective Equipment is required to participate in the demonstration. 

    Our Silent Auction will begin Friday night at 6pm and end Sunday afternoon at 1pm.

    Check-in will begin Friday evening at 5:30 pm in Bldg K.  You will be able to pick up your class schedules at this time.
     
  • Saturday Evening
    Banquet, 6 pm - 9 pm
    Come and join us for a FREE catered dinner from Carrabba's Italian Grill along with giveaways.  Your sponsors will be displaying their wares and will be available to answer your questions.  Come early to enjoy our opening ceremony complete with "Pipe & Drums", Posting of the Colors, and the National Anthem.  You will want to be there!
