Event Information
The 5th Annual Northwest Florida Volunteer Firefighter Weekend will be September 15-19, 2010. Registration for all classes began on June 1, 2010.
Due to construction on Bldg K at the NW Florida State College, check-in, lunches, and vendors will be at Bldg. Q. We are also starting our Saturday and Sunday classes at 7:30 am and lunch will be served from 11:30 am till 1 pm. This will allow you more time to visit with our vendors at their booths.

Fire Service Course Delivery, 9/15 - 9/19
Upon successful completion of this 40-hour course a Firefighter I, with six years of experience, will be able to test for Instructor I certification. This will allow him/her to teach the Firefighter I class in-house.
Tactics and Strategy I, 9/15 - 9/19
The curriculum is designed to cover basic factors involved in coping with an emergency scene, and determining the best use of available resources in protecting lives and property.
S-215 Wildland Operations in the Wildland-Urban Interface, 9/15 - 9/17
This course is designed to assist structure and wildland firefighters who will be making tactical decisions when confronting wildland fire that threatens life, property, and improvement, in the wildland/urban interface. - Friday Afternoon
Firefighter Competition, 9/17 at 1 pm
This year we are having our first Firefighter Competition. Entry fees are $50 for a team of 5 firefighters. For complete rules, events and entry form, click on "Firefighter Competition" listed below. A minimum of 4 teams are needed for the Competition to be held.
Firefighter Competition
- Friday Evening
Demonstration Night, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Come and join us on Friday evening for some fun and demonstrations. Your sponsors will be available to answer your questions and we will be have "hands-on" vehicle extrication demonstrations (6:30 pm - 8:30 pm). Personal Protective Equipment is required to participate in the demonstration.
Our Silent Auction will begin Friday night at 6pm and end Sunday afternoon at 1pm. Check out our Silent Auction page for a list of items that are available.
Check-in will begin Friday evening at 5:30 pm in Bldg Q. You will be able to pick up your class schedules at this time.

Banquet, 6 pm - 9 pm
Come and join us for a FREE catered dinner from Carrabba's Italian Grill along with giveaways. Due to construction on Bldg K, our banquet will be held in the CLC Bldg at the Niceville United Methodist Church located at 214 S Partin Drive, Niceville. See our Location Information page for a map. Your sponsors will be available to answer your questions. Come early to enjoy our opening ceremony complete with "Pipe & Drums", Posting of the Colors, and the National Anthem. You will want to be there!
